I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable. I haven't seen any coupons or discounts for this provider's office, but I haven't really looked. They answered all of our questions and were very informative. They were very accommodating and the staff was very helpful and friendly. This community is a little more on the pricey side, however the staff is amazing they are very caring. One thing we really liked about The Crossings was how when you entered the building it was very clean... Everybody seems to be nice and very accommodating.

Overall, everyone's very friendly, when you come into the facility they greet you and they're very helpful. My mom just needs assistance with things, she's not independent, they handle all of the medications but my mother hasn't had any complaints and believe me she would tell me. My mom, believe it or not, is not one to go to activities, but I think she's slowly venturing out. She'll be 88 but she's not senile whatsoever, so I think some of the activities may be geared towards people who aren't so with it.
Anything you can share will help other families choose the perfect community. I would recommend the community to friends. The location, amenities, overall staff are wonderful. While Powhatan's physical plant and furniture are getting a bit run down, the competence and caregiving from the staff is top notch and quite reliable.

I would strongly suggest checking out Powhatan. It was a smaller facility that seemed to be well-managed. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we thought the care was good, so we were happy with it. They are trying hard to care for my loved one.
